As a qualified and accredited trainer who has been exercising regularly for over 25 years, I have experienced all the highs and lows of trying to fit exercise into a busy schedule between work, parenting, and general life. I know how hard it is no matter how motivated you are. I believe the secret is to start small and increase slowly. Once you get into the habit of exercising for short periods of time it is much easier to fit it into your life and harder to make excuses for not doing it. My sessions are short but effective and designed to get (and keep) you in the habit of regular exercise Good habits are hard to make and bad habits are hard to break, but you will not regret spending time on either.
A GOOD HABIT
Exercise shouldn't feel like a chore, and whilst I might not skip into every session with the glee of a schoolgirl going to her first concert, I do finish every session feeling accomplished and happy that I didn't find an excuse not to do it. That's because I have made exercise a habit. Even when I really don't feel like donning my sports bra and tights, I know I will regret missing a session. So when I have a day where I truly am short on time I just adapt whatever session I planned to fit it into the time I do have. That's my aim for you; workouts that not only get you the results you want but that easily fit into YOUR lifestyle, helping you to make exercise a habit.
TRAINING WITH ME
I used to HATE gyms. There, I said it! Gyms made me feel self-conscious and insecure. I don't want anyone attending my classes or training with me to ever feel that way. Everyone is on their own fitness journey and exercise should be something enjoyed at your own pace. The only person you should be competing against or comparing yourself with is you. There will be days when you will be kicking goals, beating PBs, lifting the heaviest weights you ever lifted, and days when your limbs just don't seem to do anything you want them to do. That's ok. All I ask is that you show up, give the best you have and don't beat yourself up if that isn't as good as your best from the session before.
My personalised approach to one on one training sessions means they are tailored to the needs and capabilities of each individual, together we can achieve your goals as determined in our initial consultation. Group sessions are designed to incorporate exercises with regressions (less difficult) and progressions (more difficult) to suit all fitness levels. These sessions will vary and include circuit, boot camp and Tabata style with resistance and cardio sessions for a full body workout.

Contrary to popular belief, weight training will not make you look 'bulky' unless you want it to. Training muscles using resistance not only benefits what you look like on the outside, it also helps to increase bone density making you strong from the inside!

Core strength isn't about doing a million sit-ups. It's about working every muscle of the core to help not only define those ab muscles, but also strengthen the back. A regular regime incorporating a variety of core exercises, combined with a healthy diet is the ONLY way to build and define ab muscles.
